THE SQUADRON.
GARDEN PARTY.
Avery pleasant garden party was given by Mesdames L. D. Nathan and A. Nathan at their residence, V/aterloo Quadrant, to Admiral and Mrs Fairfax and the officers of the squadron. A large number of citizens were also amongst tho guests, some 500 invitations having been issued. The party proved to be a most enjoyable one. The catering was in tlio hands of Mr Castles (Canning's) and excellent music was provided by Mr W. Eady's string band. The programme was as follows :—Valse, " Cceur Fidele;" lancers, " Rip Van Winkle ;" valse, " lolanthc ;" polka, " Battling ;" valse, " Cerise ; valse, " Ariadne ;" quadrille, " Patience ;" valse, "Idyllen;" valse, "Swinging;" polka, "Dorothy;" valse, "Love's Dreamland;" quadrille, "Olivette;" valse, "Isobel;" valse, "Mikado;" lancers, "The Old Guard;" valse, "Queen of My Heart;" polka, "P. and O. ;" valse, "Sultan of Mocha ;" valse, " Bid Me Good-Bye."
