New Plymouth, this day. Mr Samuel, the member for New Ply. mouth, has been seriously ill from congestion of the lungs. He if? now out of danger, but ib will be some time before he get* about again.
Wellington, this day.
At the Supreme Court, in the case of Crotty, charged with larceny, the verdict was not guilty, and accused was discharged. Richard Cheeseman, for forgery and uttering, pleaded guilty, and the application of the counsel that he should be placed under the Probation Act was remanded until Saturday for the Probation Officer's report* This closed the criminal list.
Christchurch, this day, BODY IDENTIFIED.
The man found dead at Sydenham on Tuesday night has been identified as Henry Lewis Love, storeman of Addington. : ''
