MUNIFICENT OFFERS BY A
MELBOURNE RESIDENT.

At tbe Congregational Union yester, day, Mr George Taylor, a resident of Melbourne, offered to give „-£io,ooo yearly for three years, if a similar sum is subscribed by the public, for the establishment of Congregational College in connection with the Melbourne University. He has also offered to give if a similar sum is subscribed by the public, for the establishment of a school. A list was at once opsned, and^io,ooo was subscribed in the room.
