CRICKET.

The third annual meeting of the Wanderers Cricket Club was held in the V.M.C.A. Rooms last evening, when there was.a good muster of members present. Four new members were proposed and elected. The secretary's report was.read, and was very satisfactory, showing that the Wanderers had won the 2nd. Junior Cup. Mr J. Whelan was elected captain; Mr I. Clarke secretary, and Mr E. Fricker vice-captain. It was proposed and carried that the Club should compete for Ist Junior Cup. Mr J. Whelan was elected as delegate to the Association.

A well-attonded meeting of those, inter-j ested in re-organising the defunct Ponsonby I Cricket Club w held at the Albert Hotel last evening. It was unanimously j decided to re-form the; Xlub, and j the following officers were elected:—^; President, Mr A. E. Devore; VicePresidents, Messrs T. Peacock, M.H.K., D. Goldie, M.H.R., C. McMasier, J. Billington, D. B. McDonald, Dr. Knight, and J. M; Gedi!is; Captain, Mr T. Mackie, Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr C. Mc'Master, jun. The following were enrolled as members: Messrs Poi'ter, Letham, Drummond, Jackson, Palmer, Me - j Gregor, Pritchard, Murray, Wilkinson, Nichoison, HawkinSj Macattie, MeHugh, Omntniugs. VV. H. Johnson, Crozier, Spreokley, Collins, Sheddan, Lewis, Peet, and Stuart- (the member of the English football team). It was decided -that the Club should,' during the coining Beason, compete for the First Junior Cup, and thai the iirst practice match should bo held on the Cricket Ground on Saturday next, i .

The annual meeting of the Parnell Cricket Club will be held this (Thursday) evening at 7.30 o'clock in the Glass Barrel Hotel, Parnell, when a full attendance is expected.
