FIRE AT MOUNT ALBERT.
At 3.30 a.m; to-day a twclye roomed house, situated in Webster Road, Mount Albert, owned and occupied by Mr Henry J.
Sellers, was totally destroyed by fire. Mr and Mrs Sellers retired to rest at 10 *| pm. yesterday and then , everything seemed safe. Mr Sellers put out a fire in thet dining-room by throwing water on it. : At 3.3D. a. m. he was. aroused-by a sufibcating sensation, and on getting up he fouhd the dining-room in flumes. He at once got Mrs Sellars and seven children out of the house, but the fire had such a hold of the place that he was unable tosaveahy thing but two chairs and a table. The fire appeared to have started in the vicinity of, the dinihg-robm and kitchen 'range, both of which connected with the Baftie flue, and early yesterday the range in the. kitchen had been used, and the fire allowed to die out. "■ The house was insured for £450, and the outbuildings for £20 in the South.Britiah Insurance Company, and the furniture for. £350 in the Union Office. Mr Sellers estimate-, hia loss at £30Q, over the insurance.
