{B_ TELEQBA-H. —OWN COBJUJSrONDENT.)
Co3_n>______ interest was manifested in the election'to the Town Board for the ensuing two years, which took place yesterday. Only two members of the outgoing Board were candidates for reelection, viz., Messr3 Dobspn (Chairman) :and J. Ilott. -These together with Mr Downes were not returned because they were opposed to the borough movement- as being premature. The following, termed the "Borough ticket," were returned: Messrs Gallagher, Lip*ey, Heathcote, and Mills. The wouldbe borongbibes worked most energetically. A strong Jeeling* in favour of a borough for Te'Aroha has! sprung up since riako County Gonhcil saddled the whole cost of maintaining the county roads within the town district on the Board. Theout-goinp Board effected much improvement on the footpaths and in the township generally. -
