The 'ordinary meeting of the Devonport Borough Council took, place at the Counci Chambers last evening,: His Worship the Mayor presiding.; Present: ; Grs. Cameron^, PittSiPhilcdx, Brown, Alison. Crs. J. Mays and E. W. Burgess (re-elected) signed their declaration and took their seats.. Roads at Shoal ; Bay.—A, letter from the Secretary of the Auckland Harbour Board, stating that the Board had accepted the proposal of the Council re dedication of roads on Shoal Bay Reclamation, and stating that the solicitor, of the Board had been invited to1 prepidre'the necessary deeds, was roiad and received. : , AiitEaED Encroachment. —A letter from Mr Gwynneth, C.E., was read as follows :— "I am in: receipt of yours of 28th June tabt, and waited to see my son,; who I thought ..might have made the survey referred to, as I,had not.
