Failing to Provide.— Charles Mens was charged with having failed to comply with an order of tho B.M. to pay a certain amount weekly towards the' support oihik three children. — The defendants pleaded guilty, and asked for tiijiQ' in which.to pay the £8 arrear a .—Mrs Mens was in Court, and deposed that her h usband^as; well able; to pay the amount ordered by the Court.— Mr Mens was sworn. He stated that in 1879 he "left his home, and since that time he .hadipaid £2-75 towards- the aupporb of lmehildreii. He had! p'aidjsix- months' too much h for' one of the; elder, children.
