The Jacobite concert given some two years ao-o at the Auckland Burns Club was generally pronounced the most artistic and successful ever given under those auspicespleasing at once the popular taste and the cultured ear of critics. A second evening with " Bonnie Prince Charlie," illustrated by those gems of Scottish song that cluster around the Jacobite movement, isannounced to take place at the Opera House on Snrlay evening next, when a treat of an enjoyab.e kind nfay be anticipated. Mr Stockwell, of the Sherwin Company, has noticed an advertisement that he is announced to sing at St. Benedicts Church to-morrow morning. He begs to inform the public that he would have had great pleasure in doing so, bub finds it impossible on account of other,engagements.
