ACCIDENTS.

Inspector Shearman has received information of a fatal acpidcntj which resulted; in the death pf a lad named, Henry Braim, at' Waiuku. Braim was thrown from; a horse on December 7, and sustained a fracture of the skull. : .

Henry Braun, a lad, was thrown from a horse atf Waiuku. on, December 7, and died on the following day.

Thamfts McKay was drowned in the Waiapu R,i.ver, on January 7. He had married a Maori woman pnly tlH'e.e .weeks before. ■

Mr Dawson, chemist, and three ladies, had a narrow escape on Jan. 12 through a hqrse attached to a vehicle, }n whigh they were driving, bolting.

Constable P. J. McGowan telegraphed to Inspector- Shearman to-day that a boy naujsd'Benjamin Brown^ eight years ojE age, a son of Mr- George Brown, hotel r keeper, of Tuakau, was killed on January by falling on a pen-knife, which entered the region of the heart,

A Dunedin Volunteer, while firing with a. Remington-Lee rifle at Dunedin on Jan. 1Q had his eye injured through the cartridge, breaking. The breech, aptiQn pf the rifle was bent and completely spoiled. The torpedo instructor of H.M.s. Calliope, had his leg broken while playing cricket on January 12.
