MAYORAL ELECTIONS
Newton. Mr F. J. Jones was nominated for the position of Mayor of the Borough of Newton by Messrs Thos. McMaster and H. T. Buckley. There being no other candidate, Mr Jones has been declared duly elected. Devonport. For this borough Mr Malcolm Niccol was duly nominated, and there being no other nomination he has been declared elected by Mr Collins, Returning Officer.
