FINANCIAL REFORM ASSOCIATION.
(To the Editor.)
Sm,-I shall be obliged by your publishing the enclosed letter to Mr Buchanan which I have written to him as a protest against what I consider an improper use of the Association. No committee meeting was called to discuss the matter about which the telegram was sent. —I am,, etc., J. M. oHERA, Member of Committee.
Remuera, November 18th, 1887. John Buchanan, Esq., President of Auckland Political and Financial Reform Association. Sir —I am astonished to read in this evenS, paper your telegram to Mr Robert Thompson, member for Marsden thanking him for putting Ms question, which has now for you to send in the name of the Committee telegrams at the dictation of scratch committees. Some gentlemen may consider Mr Thompsons questfon P«»seworthy, and others may think it contemptible ; but all must admit the manner of getting the inSrmation was a mistake from an economical St of view. The information might have ES obtained" by interviewing Mincers privately, and thus great waste, of public time and money avoided.-Yours truly, J, M. Shera, Member of Committee.
