This Day.

A special sitting of the Court was held to. day to hear the following postponed cases : defended cases. Blame v. Mahonev and Another.— Claim £10 for wage?.—Mr Dufaur for plaintiff; Mr H. Campbell for defendantJudgment for plaintiff for amount claimed with costs £6 7s.

Frost v. Chrisjensen.—Claim £3, for money paid. —Mr Dufaur for plaintiff; MiCampbell for defendant.—Plaintiff was nonsuited, with costs, £9 17s.

The barque William Turner was brought down from the Sugar Works this afternoon by the tu_ boat, and noAv lies in tho stream awaiting a change of wind.

Messrs Cochrane and Son sold at their auction mart to-day to the order of Inspector Shearman, 43 packages of wines, spirits and beer, being confiscated goods.

Mr D. F. Evans sold at his auction Mart to-day, a large unfinished house in Surreystreet, near Great North Road, Surrey Hills, with a freehold allotment about 40 x 132, lot No. 9, section 5. The house, which is built on a brick foundation, and can be finished for a comparatively small sum, was, with tho allotment, knocked down to Mr M. Casey for £145.

Messrs B. Tonks and Co., to day sold at their auction mart 100 acres under cultivation, with house and out-buildings on, situated at Mount Roskill. After some brisk bidding the lot was knocked down to the mortagee for £1,400.

Messrs S. Cochrane and Son to-day sold at tfyeir auction rooms by order of the Supreme Court in re Henry Balmforth, a lunatic, allotments 62 and 63 of subdivision of lots 32 and 33 section 8, Ponsonby. Both are first-class building sites, quite level and well situated with a frontage of 40 feet each to Brownstreet, No. 62 was sold for £1 6s per foot and 63 went for £1 3s per foot.
