appeared (hat she, in pursuance of her school duties, ordered a boy to leave his desk. Tito boy refused, and Miss Nicholson picked him up in her arms and carried him some distance. The boy struggled, and caused injuries to the teacher which brought on a disease from which she was now suffering. Ib was decided to inform the Board of the circumstances in this case, to recommend that Miss Nicholson be granted three months' further leave of absence, and that her position bo temporarily filled by another teacher. Crowded. ■— Mr Harfc, headmaster of the Nelson-street School, wrote that that institution was overcrowded, and suggested that extra accommodation should be provided before the summer sob in. The total attendance was 588.— Ib was decided that consideration of this matter be allowed to stand over pending the acceptance of tender for Napier-street School. Quarter Money. —Some discussion took place on this subject, and norae printed forms used in the Beresford-strcet School were approved : The matter was left in tho hands of bhe chairman.
