Gold in the King Country.
PROSPECTORS THREATENED,
A telegram from Te Kuiti states that two miners who were prospecting for gold in the King Country under a permit signed by Wahanui have been turned back by tho natives of JTuhua district. On Friday morning a native was sent from tho Tuhua range to To Kuiti with a message to the prospectors who are there, to the effect that they would bo " cut down like piga" if thoy attempted to carry on prospecting for gold in that country. It is hoped that the Government will take some action for tho protection of prospectors.
