Major H. C. Dane, the celebrated lecturer, has been successful in Australia, and is returning to Auckland the first week in December to deliver his promised lecture for the Benevolent Society, after which he givea three lectures for the Y.M.C.AI'
Captain Edwin advises—" North-east to north and west gale and rain within twelve hours. Glass fall soon."
Mr D. Gouk will to-morroW morning launch the schooner he has been building for some time past for Samoa. She is a neat craft, her lines good, and the work first class, so she should give satisfaction.
