TRAINING NOTES.
(SPECIAL.)
Melbourne, this day. ON Sunday, Recall did a mile-ond-a-half in splendid style in 2mins 43_V. This morning Escutcheon and Remus did a very good mile, and Thunderbolt was sent once round fast. Silver Prince and En filade took moderate exercise only. Abercorn went at half pace and Algerian onco round at top speed. Cranbrook and Trident did nothing of importance. Dunlop galloped a mile. Silvermine and Niagara wont freely, and finished their work fresh. Recall did gentle work. Oakleigh did the best gallop of all the horses out. Australian Peer merely cantered, and Frisco was not extended. Tranter went a mile and a-half in two fifty. Pakeha was sent onco round at good speed.
Meteor arrives this afternoon. Appliance is not likely to see tho post. Oakleigh, Australian Peer, and Tranter should provide the winner tho firstnamed for choice.
