Per Waiapu, schooner : 511 sacks maize, 32 pigs, 35 hides, 4 bales sheep skins, 22 _4Cks fungus, 5 casks beef, 6 kegs butter.

Per s.s. Wairarapa: 1,281 packages ex Coptic, 498 packages tea, 62 qr.-casks, 175 casks, 56 bags pepper, 13 cases bacon, 32 It-ranks, 21 bags tapioca, 31 pieces ironwork, 210 sacks oats, 1,570 sacks wheat, 313 sacks potatoes, 300 live sheep, 46 hides, 8 hides, 8 hhds. G. S. Bairet's beer, 100 cases kero sciie, 35 saoks oatmeal and quantity transhipments.

The s.s. Australia brought up from Napier tho Auckland portion of the cargo of the barque Herschels, from Hamburg.

'Die schooner Waiapu arrived yesterday morning, at 11 o'clock, from Gisborne, with n cargo of produce. She experienced very heavy weather on the passage up the coast.

The s.s. lona arrived from Mercury Bay oh Saturday night with the following passengers : —Mrs Horton and child, Messrs H. Fountain, Wills, and 3 steerage.

The s.s. Clansman arrived fromTauranga yesterday morning, with the following passengers:—Messrs Sheath, Kirk, Black, Home, Misses Sweeney, Dull us, Mesdames Clark, Sheath.

The Government steamer Stella arrived from Southern ports yesterday morning, having come up on a lighthouse visiting trip. She called at the various lighthouses on the May up, and leaves again to-day for Wellington by way of the North Cape and East Coast, visiting the various lighthouses en route.

The barque signalled or Saturday proved to be the Star of the East, from New York, via Dunedin, and she arrived in port during the afternoon in bow of the Awhina, and was berthed ab the Railway Wharf. Dunedin was left on the 21st inst., and the passage up proved a very dirty weather one. c The Star of the East brings a part cargo from New York, and when discharged will load kauri gum for that port.

The following small coasters have arrived since Saturday:— Fanny, cutter, from Whangapoua, with timber; Kauri, bauge, from Waihoura, with timber; Margaret Casey, cutter, with firewood, from Wailieke ; Elsie, ketch, from the Thames, with timber ; Moehow, scow, from Omaha, with timber ; Norah, scow, with timber, from Kennedy's Bay; Morning- Light, cutter, from Cabbage Bay, with timber.

The s.s. Australia arrived from Wellington and East Coast ports at 9 p.m. on Saturday, with cargo and passengers. The report shows she left Wellington on the 25th" inst. at 5 p.m., and Napier was reached at 6 p.m. tlie next day; left on the 27th at 5.30 p.m., and arrived at Gisborne on the 28th at b a.m. Two hours later she resumed the passage, and called en route at Waipiro. Fine weather throughout the passage. Passengers:—Mr and Mrs Kay, Messrs Haselden, D. Taylor, Wood, Milnev, and 3 in the steerage.
