The motion for- a new trial in the case of ■Wilson (barmaia) v. Harley (brewer), Nelson, was refuser I yesterday.
Another successful trial of Stenbouse and Smith's rabbit exterminatortook place in the presence of Inspector Blundell, of the sheep department,, and a large crowd of spectators. The effects of the sulphuric gas generated by the machines was most deadly. Ar»cM>ishop Kcdwood. Archbishop Redwood will be presented with an address from the Catholics of Marlborough next Sunday. His niece will be married on Thursday to Mr Vavasour, manager of Clifford and W Teld's Flaxbounre station. The young lady is the eldest daughter of Mr Thomas Redwood.
