SUDDEN DEATH AT DUNEDIN.

Ddnedin, this day. Mr Joitn Cuddy, who has for over 24 years held a prominent position in the Registrar of Deeds' Office, and who retired on a pension only twelve months ago, died suddenly. Deceased was well-known to Dunedin residents, and though somewhat eccentric a* times, had made many friends through his sterling good qualities. He was taken ill at his lodging's yesterday morning, tind had barely time to exclaim that he felt a severe pain in his side? when ho fell dead, doubtless from disease of the heart. Mr Cuddy was 62 years of age, and had no relatives here.
