The New Electorates.

THE BOUNDARIES. Report of tlit) Commissioners. (by telegraph.—own correspondent.) Wellington, this day. Thk general descriptions of the electoral districts are as follows :— Bay of Islands contains tho counties of Mongonui, Whangaroa, llokiangu, and Bay of Islands!, together with such of Whangarei County da is in Nunguru Riding, HiKurangi parish, and that portion of Hikurangi Riding North of the Wairua River ; also a narrow strip of Hobson County along the eastern boundary of Dargavillo Riding. ffiJarsdcn contains the Ridings of Aratapu, Dargaville, West of Mangakahia post office, Wairoa, Okaihau, Hikurangi, South of the Wairau River, JVlanaia, Mang'apai,°Waipu, Marorotu, Wairau and tho town districts of Wliangarei, Kamo and Dargaville. StodEcy contains tho Ridings of Tβ Kopuru, Tokatoka, Matakohe, Taparoa, Whakapairua, Kaiwhaka, Albert, Taulioa, Hotco, Mangawai, Matakana, Mahurangi, Puhoi and tho Islands of tho Great and Little Barrier and Kawau. Waitcmata contains tho Ridings of Ararimu, Weiti, Takapnna, Waitakerei, oast of fcho railway line and tho borough of Devonport and town district, of Hclensvillo. "" Eden contains the Ridings of Manukau, Wai§ komiti and that part of Waitakerei west of the railway lino, also tho whole of tho Wliau Riding except between Arch Hill Road district and tho New North Road, also Mount Eden Highway district. Kcwtou contains tho borough of Newton, tho Road Districts of Arch Hill and Eden Terrace, and that part of Whan Riding between Arch Hill and New North Road, also that area south of the Kyber Pass Road, between Eden Terracoßoad District and Newmarket borough, formerly in Parnoll electorate, also sections 25 and 26 in Ponsonby Ward north of the bridge, at Cox's Creek. Ponsonby comprises Ponsonby ward of city of Auckland Ics3 sections 25 and 20 in Ponsonby Ward north of bridge at Cox's Creek. Auckland West is unaltered, The main surrounding streets are Cook Street, Queen street, Karangahape Road, Ponsonby Road, and Franklyn iload. Auckland -North Is tho former electorate of' that name, together with tho area cast of Queenstreet within a lino running up Wellesley - street East to Symondsstreet, thenco in a general northerly direction by that street, Waterloo Quadrant, and Princes-street to tho Railway Wharf. The other boundaries are the harbour from tho Railway Wharf round to tho end of College Road, Freeman's Bay, thonce to Cook-street, and by that street, Grey-street and Queen-street to Wellesley-street East. Auckland Central contains Karangahape Ward, of the City of Auckland, and portions of old electorate of Auckland East and Parnell. The boundary commences at the intersection of - street and Queen - street, thence by Welj lesley - street East to Symonds - street, thonce accross by northern boundaries of sections 8 and 41 to Grafton Road, thence south by that Road to Kyber Pass Road, thence west to Symond - street, thence around Karangahape Ward so as to include it to Queen-street, thenco north by that street to the starting point. Furucll contains Borough of Parnell, and portions of Boroughs of Auckland and Newmarket. Tho boundary commences at Railway Wharf, and fronts harbour round to head of Hobson Bay, thence along Parnell' Borough boundary to Newmarket Borough boundary, thenco by Manukau Road to J&aipnra Railway, thence in westerly direction by that . railway to where it crosses the- Kyber Pass Road, thence by that road to Grafton Road, thenco in a northerly direction by that road to section 41, thence west by northern boundary of sections 41 and 8 to intersection of Wellesley-street East with Symonds - street, thonce northerly by Symonds - street, Waterloo Quadrant, Princes-street to the starting point. Manukau is the old electorate diminished by Tamaki Riding, which is now in Franklin North electorate, and by part of Whan Riding West of Oncliunga, which is now in Eden electorate. Part of Newmarket borough, south of Kaipara Railway line, is now included in Manukau electorate. It therefore contains the borough of Onehunga, One Tiee Hill district, Epsom, part of Newmarket and Remuera. Franlilin North Has been extended northwards by tho addition of Tamaki Riding, and curtailed in tho south by the exclusion of Papakura town district, and that portion of the Riding of Papakura south of the 'road running across from Wairoa Post-office to the railway near the mouth of the Papakura stream. It now contains tho ridings of Tamaki West, Howick, and the whole of Otahuhu except a narrow strip alongside of tho railway between Papakura Town District and the mouth of the Papakura stream. It contains also tho northern and eastern portions of Papakura Riding. Franklin South has been increased by tho addition of Papakura town district and the Southern portion of Papakura Riding, also by the inclusion of the settlement of Miranda. It has been diminished in the South by the cutting off of Tuakau and the south eastern portion of Pukekohe Riding in Pukekohe parish between the Railway and the Waikato River which has been added to Waipa electorate. Waipa is the old electorate with the. addition of Tuakau, and tho subtraction of Cambridge West which has been added to Waikato, and of Tokano which has been added to Tauranga. WaSkato . has been increased by the addition of Cambridge West and diminished by Te Aroha town district and Te Aroha Riding, both of which havo been added to Tauranga, also, by the small settlement of Miranda, added to Franklin South. The boundaries are: — On the North by the electoral district of Franklin South and the Frith of Thames, on the east by the Thames or Waihou River and native territory, on the south and west by the Waikato River and including Cambridge West, TTftaEHCS Contains the borough of Thames and the ridings of Waiotahi and Kauerangai. Coroimamlcl contains the counties of Coromandel, Thames, and Ohinemuri, lying east of the Thames Biver, less the riding of Waiotahi and Kauoranga. Tanranga I js tho, old electorate, diminished by the

ridings of Karangahake, Waitekauri, Paeroa and part of Totara added to Coromandel, and increased by the addition of Te Aroha Riding, taken from Waikato ; also by the addition of Tokoano the centres of population in this electorate are Te Aroha, Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga and Opotiki. JEjisfc Coast has been slightly curtailed in the south by Moha-ka riding being added to Hawke's Bay electorate. The Waihuu River is tho new southern boundary, Gisbome and Wairoa are the two principal centres of population.
