Jubilee Sovereigns.
On Jubilee Day, the Sydney Mint' struck 250 sovereigns from a new die in which Her Majesty's head appears in widowed garb and of mature age.. The sovereigns were of course in great demand, and from 25s upwards, was freely paid for them as curios. Captain Wheeler, of the s.B. Wakatipu, secured one of them and brought it over to Wellington. ■ , . ,
