Withy is to be held to-night in the Excelsior Hall, Newton. Mr G. Osborne, whose advertisement appears in another column, intimates that tie has baken a room above Mr W. Mears's establishment in Queen-street, and is piepared to receive lady and gentleman pupils tram 12 to 2 o'clock daily. He has adopted tnis course in order to afford an opportunity for persons desirous of-receiving tuition in .elocution to attend half-hour lessons during their dinner hour. Yet another Jubilee entertainment. We have jubilated considerably, but, thanks to the good people of St. Sepulchre's we are invited to jubilate yet again at the grand entertainment' in the Symondsstreet schoolroom to-morrow evening at 8 o'clock. Herr Schmitt and Mrs Uuthie contribute a grand duo to the musical portion, which includes items from Mrs Micklethwait, Dr. Cobbett, Miss Bloazard, Mrs Glover and Mr A. L. Ed*wards. After a brief interval the curtain will rise on the famous trial scene from Dickens -"Bardell v. Pickwick"—in which Mr G. p. Pierce will preside as the Chief Justice, and such well-known amateurs as Messrs Hillyer, Hudson, Walpole, Robin and White will take prominent parts. The n&t'lect.ure in the V.M.C.A. winter course will be given on Friday evening next by the Rev. Thomas Spurgeon, the subject being "Luck." Those who wish to be amused as well as profited should attend..
