Drunkenness. — David Stirling, R. Measures, and Albert Warner (second offence) were punished for this offence. William Burton, who had also been disorderly, and had challenged Cor.stable Abrahams to fight, was fined 20s aivd costs, or seven days in default. • Assault. —Bryan Culloty was, charged with assaulting Mary Baird by striking her with his hand. Mr Thorne, for tb.e accused, applied for an adjournment until Wednesday, to which Dr. Laishley, for "the plain tiff, offeixxl no objection. The adjournment was granted.':— A charge against Edward Lysaght of assaulting the same-complainant-was also adjourned. , i Alleged Forgery.—The hearing of the charges of forgery against Samuel laulkner was 'again adjourn.cd till Wednesday next at the instance of Air Cotter, who appeared for the accused,.
