OSTRICH' FARMING.
•The steamer Glenelg arrived from the ::; Kaipara yesterday, with the ostriches that have been on the farm at Otamatea for the last couple of months. The birds were all :|n separate cages, and placed in; the steamer's hold, the total number recorded 1 being 46. They did not appear to be in firstI dasscqnditiqn, and during the voyage, which Was somewhat rough, two of the birds died reducing the number to 44. These were landed at Taurang creek this morning, and conveyed' to Mr L.' 1). Nathan's farm where it ia expected they will thrive more Satisfactorily than hitherto:
