Letters patent for a "roasting process' are asked by. Mr D. R. S. Qalbraith, analyst, .Auckland. Joseph HawkinE, of Helenßvil'.e, seeks letters patent for aa invention to, bo called the " Settlers' cool fruit and butter-brx." Letters patent are fought by Norman Whitney, of "The Deanavy," Parnell, for a brass or other avetal cartridge case, the body being a drawn tube, to be called " Whitney's cartridge."
