CRICKET.
Gordon.—The first 11 played tho next 22 of tho club on Satuiday. Tho 22, who wont in first, only made 55, towards which J. Gould, not out, contributed 12, and H. Goulstono 10. Bowling honours were divided between W. Meldrum and Gould. The 11 only succeeded in getting 28 runs, Morosby boing top scorer with eight. Goulstono took six wickets for eight runs, and D. Moldrum throe for 17. The match will be completed next Saturday. Auckland.—The Second Eleven played the remainder of the Club last Saturday. The romainder of the Club went in first, and made 73,Hankins being topsccrer with 17. the Second Eleven made 44 with the lose of 4 wickets, Ramson, not out, getting 19, and McPherson 15. The match will bj concluded next Saturday.
Oxford C.C. v. Beuesfskd. — Oxford defeated Beiesford by one wicket and 63 runs.
Holland's Ist Eleven v. Next Fifteen. —Tho above match was commenced on Saturday. The fifteen went in first, but could make no stand against E. Mills and G. Walker, the former taking 7 wickets for 19, the lattor 5 for 21, tho innings closing for 11, T. Mills (12) being tho only ono to roach double figures. Tho eleven then wont in, and at call of time had lost 2 wioketa for 73, E. Mills, 48 (not out), Brighton, 13 (not out), G. Mills, 12, being top scorers. E. Mills played a good innings forhisecore.and nover gave a chance. Tho fielding on both sides could bo improved on.
