Auckland Cricket Association.

Offer to the All-England Elevon.

The Auckland Cricket Association met at the Albert Hotel on Monday evening. Thoro were 14 club delegates pre.ont, and Mr J. Mumford occupied the chair. Mr A. M. Bealo was rooleotod secretary, and Mr C. E. Mac'ormick re-electod treasurer. It wus decidod to admit the Domain Crickot Club ob a junior club, ond that Franklin JC.C. might become, under a change of title, Waitemata CC. Hollaud C C. was elected to a senior club for tho ensuing season. An application from tho Onehunga CC. that all cup matchos with that Club bo played at Onehunga was referred to the Cup Committee for decision. Tho Chairman explained that the letter re tho vifit of tho Australian Elevon having beon satisfactorily disposed of prior to the meeting, it was unnecessary for the Committee to take any action in the matter. He thon read a letter, which has already been published in the Stak, from Messrs Shaw, Lillywhito, and Shrewsbury, re proposed viait of an All Kngland Elevon oarly in tho coming year. Mr Mumford explained that this matter had been referred to the committee by a general meeting of tlio Association, with the stipulation that they wore not to guarantee a sum amounting to ovor £200 cash. The Lancaster Park Club had guaranteed the Englishmen £300 not for a three days' match, but they were no doubt in a bottor position to do so than the Auckland Association.

Mr Beale thought that the Association would surely clear £50 at least in the motch with the Australians in Docembor, and that with this to start on tho Association could easily raise tbe monoy if members would only bestir themsolves in the disposal of tickets, otc._ Further discussion ensued, and it was estimated that tho expenses of a throe-days' match would be about £100. It waa eventually agreed, "That the Association offer the All-England Elevon £200 for a threedays' matoh at Auckland, with tho alternative of accepting the came terms as have beon allowed to the Australians, viz., the visitors to poy £100 for the use of the ground, take tbe gross proceeds, and pay all expenses." A vote of thanks to the Chairman conoluded the business.
