"DARK DAYS."
Hugh Conway's sensational drama " Dark Dayß" was repeated last evening at Abbott's Opera Houso. Apparently the excellency of the staging and perfermance of thiß piece is not fully understood by the publio, for tbe attendance was not very good. This is the moro to bo deplored as tho management have spared no expense in mounting this drama. The snow landscape isexcellontly portrayed, andat the conclusion of the third act tho audience demanded a second view of tbe scene. As Sir Mervyn Ferrand, Mr Wybert Reeve was really firstclass, while Miss Lucia Harwood was equally successful as Miss Philippa Lo Fargo. Mr Georgo Forbes made a very natural aristocratio spendthrift as tho Hon. Percy Pontland, and Miss Emily Fitzroy waa vory good a. the warmhearted Ethel Brabourno. Tbe gentlema-nly Dr. Basil North received full justice at tho hands of Mr Brian Darley, and Mr Arthur Lawrence made a thorough-paced villain as William Evans, the groom. Taken altogether, the performance was a decided success, merely requiring a large attendance to complete the joy of all concerned. " Dark Days " will only bo played for throo moro nights, as the season terminates on Wednesday week.
