Australia left tnat port for Auokland at 9.15 a-m. to-day. The barque Alexa was docked to-day for cleaning. Tne schooner Energy bsrthed at Queen-Btreet Wharf this forenoon. The following vessels are loading timber at East Coast ports:—Restless, brig, at Tutukaka; Circe, brigantlne, at Mercury Bay ; Aratapu and Clansman, brigantines, at Talma; £ea Waif. brig„and two three-masted schooners, at Whangaroa. The weekly Bervice between Sydney and this port is to bs resumed on Tuesday, the 7th inst., when the Te Anau is to leave this port at 5 p.m. The Tarawera, Manapourl, end Rotomahana will follow, weekly, in tho order named. The s s. Macgregor arrived from Whangarei at an early hour this morning. Passengers: Messrs Chishoim, Hewitson, Tremain. Rolleston, Wood, Love, Ward, McLean, Rutherford, Burgess, McKenzle. Hill, Er. Hooper. Mrs Cole and 2 children, Mrs Rowe. The Macgregor le-.ves for Whangarei. Whangarei Heads, and Parua Bay this evening. The s.s. The brigantlne signalled yesterday Afternoon proved to be the Aurora, which left this port for Kaipara on Wednesday afternoon. She got as far as the Little Barrier, when she experienced very hevry weather, durlog which Bhe lost Borne of her sails, and had to put back. She was towed under the lee of Motutapu by the s s. Awhlna, and will resume her voyage whon the weather moderates. Shipping, which has bsen at its dullest for about a month past, is now looking np considerably. Last week the wharves were almost bare but the arrivals this week have boen so numerous tbatalmost all the berthlrg accommodation will be taken up, and still there's "more te follow." as will he seen from our list of expected arrivals. The throe-masted schooner which arrived late Sesterd&y afternoon, and dropped anchor off tha orth Head, was tho Buster from Marshall Group, with a oirgo of copra, and not the Kllnor Vernon as previous'y supposed,-although the latter has been close to the Great Barrier for several days past, and has been reported by three or four vessels now in port.
