Foarful Destruction of Proporty.
London, Septembor 1. Further received from South Caroline regarding the earthquakes gives harrowing details. Tho town of Charleston was completely isolated—bridges, railwaye, and telegraph linos being destroyed. There wete ton shocks,' which nearly maddened the inhabitants—tho dead boing left still unburied. Many torriblo and affecting scenos were witnoesed at Richmond, Virginia—tho convicts in the city gaol making frantic efforts to escape. Tho town of Summorville has been nearly destroyod, and the damage to property in South Carolina is immense. »
