Thames, this day.—Mr James McOawan was to-day re-elected unopposed for North Ward in the Borough Council.
Christchurch, this day.—The Harbour Board have decided to remit pilotage of ocean stoamore when making a second call at Lyttelton on the same round trip between the colonies and England. The Board have also voted £2.5 towards establishing a life boat at Akaroa.
