PORK AND ONIONS.
At St. Kildn, Melbourne, laßt week, a lady named Hogs married one Bicbard Onyon. Thereupon, the "Sydney Bulletin " poet warbles thus : — How tasteless is Hogg-, without any sauce, On'ons and pork go toec ther ot course ; Brain sauce, also, you'll admit, Improves roast pork, hot from the .pit. Not over much—o mere suggestion For people of a weak digestion; But Richard'a " motto "(I'm not in fun) Is " going the whole Hogg or none." And that this is curious, you must allow. "Tiß a female Hoeg, yet not a sow. More cnrlous still, the Hogg la gone, For Hoig v. Onyon now are one. 'Twould have puzzled old John Banyan As to how a Hogg became an Onyon, And when the two become a bunch, May thoy never want for Hogg at lunch; As with the Hogg, when then, of course. They'll never want for Onyon^auce!
