A SPECIMEN FRENCH DUEL.
PARIS, July 17.—Tho duel between Genoral Boulangcr, Minister of War, and Baron Do Lareinty, arieing from tho remarks of the Baron in the Senate on Thursday, was fought at 9 o'clock this morning. The weapons were pistol*,and the place of meeting was in the forest near Meridom, five miles west of Paris. When the command to fire was given, Do larointy shot at Boulangcr. The latter coolly awaited the result of tbe shot, and finding himself untouched by his opponent's bullet, Boulangor raised his own piatol and fired up into the air. The combatants then left tho field. Boulanger returned te Paris and went straight to his office at the War Department. A crowd had assembled to learn the result of the duel, and thoy gave Boulangcr an ovation when he appeared.
