ACCIDENT TO THE STEAMROLLER.
Tun Corporation stoara-rollor, othorwiss known as tho " boetlocrufihor," mot with a most unfortunate accident to-day. It was at work at tho foot of Viotoria-suoot, opposite the Union Bank, whon tho earth suddenly gave way bonoath, aud ono of tho prodigious whools Bank a distanco of a couplo of foot. An attempt was mado to back it out again, but in vain, and It woe found necessary to lift tho mnchino by moans of blocks of wood and screw-jacks. Tho position was a most critical ono, as thoro was good reason for believing that tho hole which had thus mado ltsolf unpleasantly npparent was situated diroctly over tho old sower.
