REPORTED LOSS OF AN AUCKLAND SCHOONER.

Wh<n tho mail steamer Australia called at Samoa, it was reported that the schooner Olivo, owned by Messrs McArthttr and Co., of Auckland, had been wracked. A lotter received by tho ownors, and dated Apiia, May 20th, states that tho Olive was then oi n reef at Fasilootai. The wind was iigbt, and it was expected that she would bo got off without being damaged. Tho Olive had before this discharged her cargo, and had in 100 tons copra. Sho is insured for £1,000 in tho South British Office, which also holds a policy for £1,200 on tho original cargo. Two-thirds of these amounts are re-insured. Tho Olivo was a new schooner, built very recently by Messrs Lane and Brown, of Whangaroa.
