LATER DETAILS.
London, 9th April
Tho " Times" publishes a telegram from its correspondent at Ghuziem, near Herat, giving details of the encounter between the Russian and Afghan troops on the 30th ult.
Tho correspondent states that tho pre text for tho attack was a change in tho positfon of the Afghan outposts at Penjdeh.
The Afghans arc stated to have fought with great stubbornness, and tho Russian loss was largo.
General KomaroH's force did not pursue tho Afghans on their retreat.
A number of British officers witnessed tho battle, and afterwards rejoined Sir Peter Lumsden at Herat.
