London, April 9. Inthm-WI-NCE is to hand to the effect that Genoral Komaroh", the Russian Governor of the Trans - Caspian, attacked the Afghuns on the 30th March on the banks of the Khusk River. During the engagement the Afghans lost fully COO men, and were eventually severely defeated, tho wholo of their artillery and camp equipments falling into the hands of the Russians, The Russian loss comprised 11 killed find 29 wounded, St. Petersburg, April 9. A despatch has been received by the Russian Government, from General Komanotf, stating that ho made an attack on tho troops of the Amoer of Afghanistan on account of a hostile movement made by them. General Komaroff reports that after defeating tho Afghans ho rotired from the position.
