Thames, this day. Moakataiabi. —The crushing of 30 tons of quartz from No. 9 lode (broken out within the past month by four men) has given the profitable return of 49ozs. 6dwts. gold.; Murdoch, tributor, banked 7ozs.2dwte., and Diamond 4Jozs.

Cambria.—lt has transpired today that the quantity of gold obtained in Auckland from the directors experiment at specimen crushing was lOGozs. The mine manage^ however, saved 3 barrels of tailiDgs which were returned to the Thames' for berdaimng, and gave the astonishing return of 66Jozs. The retorting of the amalgam obtained fram 160 loads of goneral stuff took place this morning, resulting in a good return of 210ozs. lOdwts. gold, making a total return for the month of 3830z3. 4dwts, The action of the directors with regard to the specimens has been severely commented Upon, and caused widespread dissatisfaction here. ~r .

Thames Golden Ckown.— The return for the month is 65Joes. gold. MOANATAIARI EXTENDED.—^ Mr T. Gilmour has been appointed mine manager, and will take charge forthwith. Dabwin.—Crushing operations have been commenced with five stampers. About 20 loads of quartz are on hand.

KußUNtfi Hill.—The winze below the tunnel level has been completed, and stoping operations commenced on No. 1' lode at the 80 feet level.

City oy Manchester.—The proprietors crushed a. parcel of quartz for the return of 18ozs. 19dwta.

Ivanhob (Karangahake).—The retorting for this Company has resulted in the handsome return of 3450z5. gold. New North Devon.—The shareholders have agreed to form a company, with a capital of £15,000, in shades of £1 each, Mr Harcourt boing appointed Legal Manager, and Messrs McGownn, Neal, Heaghway, Wilson, and M.eddins directors.
