Cambria.—There is now on hand over 2501b5. of specimens, and as 10 hoad at tho Golden Crown battory will be kopt running to the end of the month before cleaning up, and the dirt is shaping well, a good return may be expected, The cast drive is in 35ft. from the winze, and tho reef looks really well. Stoping will bo started ovor this drive as soon as possible Tho winzo is down GOft. " Tho reef is very largo, Cft. of it being broken and showing gold. It has not yet beon broken under whore the haul of specimens was obtained. The shaft should be down in two months, and then 250 ft. are to drive to the reef.
Darwin. — Driving westward on the Cambria reef, is in progress. The lode is 3ft. wide, showing colours of gold and carrying good minerals. Queen of Beaut?.— The trial from the cross reef at No. 8 level being poor; work will be confined to sinking the shaft and driving 003t on tho Vanguard lode when the contractor is unable to work the shaft.

Tbo monthly rotortings took place at Waiorongomai battery yesterday, with the following results :—New Find, 4740z5. 14dwts., from 374 trucks quartz ; Colonist, 1430z5., from 167 trucks; Canadian, 140z5., from 51 trucks.
. Premier. —There was a small parcel from tho berdannings, which increased tho total return from the recent crushing of six trucks to 32Oszs. 3dwts., bosidos which there aro also 9ozs. from tailings. Another correspondent telegraphs the roturns as follows :—New Find, 374 trucks, 4470z5. 14dwts. ; Colonist, 143 trucks, 1430z5. ;' Canadian, 51 trucks, 14ozs. ; Premier, 3ozs. additional frpin bordans, making a total of over 32ozs. from parcel crushed of 8 tons.

' Success.—The mine-manager reports as follows :—The change that I made mention of in last report did not come to anything. In opening out again, the reef is rather broken, showing but little gold, although in the roof of thestopo thero is the usual mineral indications of solid mundio following along the lodo. This is the first of that kind of mineral that has been met with in this block.
