GENERAL GORDON STILL AT KHARTOUM.

London, August 7. A letter received at Cairo from Goneral Gordon, dated Khartoum, Juno 24, asks for information concerning the expedition which is to bo sent to his relief. His letter further states that Khartoum is being
attacked by 10,000 rebels.
Lord Northbrook's Mission,
Lord Northbrook, who is about to visit Egypt as High Commissioner to report upon the state of affairs in that country, will leave England for Cairo on the 110 th instant.
