MR HAMLIN ELECTED.

Franklin South, July 15. — Messrs Hamlin and McFadden were nominated. The show of hands was in favour of Mr Hamlin. Mr McFadden then rotired and Mr Hamlin was declared elected, Otahuhc— Tho nomination of candidates for North Franklin took place at Otahuhu today. Mr Shanaghan opened the proceedings at 12 q'clock. Mr Lako, his opponent, has held successful meetings at tho various centres of population. Major' Jackson addrossed tho Ohaupo electors to-day, and wag accorded votes of thanks and confidence by a large majority in tho enemy's roputed stronghold.
