Aiidkf.ssks To-nioht.—Sir George Grey is to give an address at Otahuhu. to-night on "Tho Present Political Crisis." Mr S. T. George delivers his first address to the I'ai-nell electors in the Parnell Hall to-night, and Mr Atkin speaks this evening in tho old district school-room, Mount Eden Road. Mr O'Neill, another candidate for Eden, addresses the electors in St. Sepulchre's School-rcom to-night at 3 o'clock. Major Jackson, who is a candidate for Yv'aipa electorate, makes his first public speech tonight at Hamilton. City North.—"An Elector" write.-: "Could you inform me as to whether Mr Thompson is going to contest City North in the Grey interest or not; and if either of the candidates are going to address the electors before nomination day '.' Franklin North. — A well attended meeting was held in the school-house, VVoodsidc, on Thursday evening for the purpose of hearing Major Harris on political matters, past, present, and future. T. Clow, Esq., was in the chair. Major Harris explained his political deeds as being very different from the misleading reports so industriously circulated. He had acted for the best interests of the colony, and thought tho electors would, upon a calm review of matters, decide that lie still retained their confidence. The meeting was well conducted, and gave the Major an attentive ho-ring. W. It. Brown, Esq., proposed, and Goodwin Smith, Esq., seconded, a -vote of think- for past services and continued conlidence in him as member for Franklin, which was carried item <:ou.

Western Maori Election.—At a meeting of Hauraki and Ohineniuri natives, held at Shortland on Saturday, it was unanimously resolved to support the candidature of llamiora Munagakahia for the Western Maori electorate.
