The Liberal Party and the House of Lords. London, July 10.— Mr Gladstone has summoned a meeting of tho members of the Liberal party for to-day, to consider the position of the Government in reference to tho defeat in tho Houso of Lords on the Franchise Bill, and to decide upon the course of action in connection with the same. The Marquis of Normanby was entertained last night at a banquet by the leading Anglo-Australians in London. Among tho guests were Lord Kimberley, tho Marquis of Lome, Sir Michael Hicks-Beach.
