Emigration : Auckland, 311; Wellington, 111 ; Napier, 11 ; Westport, 3 ; Greymoutb, 4 ; Lyttelton, 9 ; Dunedin, 80; Invercargill, 311: total, 840. Arrivals : From United Kingdom 452, Australia 624, and 71 from other places. Departures : For the United Kingdom 18, for Australia 652, and 170 for other places. Chinese : 4 arrivals and 37 depirtures.
Giseobne, this day.—The Harbour Board have had a disagreement with the Engineer over the valuation charges, and after a long discussion, notice of motion was given to dispense with his services.
