ADJOURNED MEETING OF MR LIONEL PHILLIPS'S CREDITORS.
The adjourned mooting of tho creditors in the above estato was held In tho office, Lower Queen-street, to-day, at 3 p.m. A modoratc number of creditors appeared. The purpose of the meeting w<jb to hear Mr Bennett's (accountant) report on the estato. Tho report went into all the details of the business, and estimated that the estate as it now stands—if the balance of stock were forced to bo sold—woiild only realise to tho creditors a few shillings in tho £. Air Braßaey, on behalf of Mr Phillips, offered Os in tho &, which van earriod by a majority of creditors prcaont; but as two or threo creditors refused to sign the deed of composition, there was no alternative but to caat Mr Phillips into the Bankruptcy Court. Tho estato may then realise very little when all expenses are paid.
