Sydney, this day.—ln the Legislative Assembly last night a motion was passed to the effect that before any bill for the constitution of the Federal Council for Australia is passed into law by the Imperial Parlia--ment, such measure must be submitted to the Parliament of this colony. Proposed Sculling Match. Sydney, March2s.—Hanlan, the Canadian oarsman, will shortly be matched against a colonial scullor for f 1,000 a-side. It is probable that Beach will represent the colony, and that the match will bo rowed on the Nepean 1-tiver,
