Yesterday Concluded.
Tho Novel Race Handicap, of lOOsoys, one mile, was won by Trumpeter, the second place being taken by Marclrioness Niel and t third by Den Jose. Whitback, Prospero, Mollie Bawn and Minerva also ran. Tnim-;? poter was the favourite, and won easily in lmin. 19|secs. Of £1,641 in the totalisator £472 was on the winner. ■: s
Tho Suburban Welter Handicap of 150sovs, 1 mile and a furlong, was won by Taiaroa, Tim Whiffler being second, and Jilt third. Master Agnes also ran. After the first quarter of a-mile, Taiaroa took the lead, and nothing else was afterwards in ifc Dividend, £1 18s 6d. Time, 2mins. 3secs. Tramway PLATEof 80sovs., three-quarters of a mile ; weight for age.—Lady Evelyn, 1; Rubina, 2. Cheviot and Siesta being scratched, tho race was reduced to one between the above two fillies. Lafly Evelyn won with a_ little to spare by a length. Timo, 1 mm. 19secs, Dividend, £1 19s Cd.
A Hack Race for 25sovs. brought the proceedings to a conclusion. It was won from eight others by Huntingtown, a dividend of 124 0s 6d being paid on him.
