To the Editor: Sir,—The "Herald" is surely falling into its dotage, or it would nover insult the Presybyterian Church as it does in this morning's leader. Referring to the " Confession of Faith " in regord to the caso of tho Eev. Mr Strong, it makes the astounding statement "who using their best lights" "differ on the interpretation of some obscene passage" "or incomprehensible mystery." Does the "Herald" dare =to impute obscenity to the tenets of the Preybyterian Church, or has the grossest carelessness permitted this word "obscene" to bo printed for "obscure?" Lot us charitably hopo the latter is the case, and that the "Herald", will lose no time in putting itself right with the public, although even thon tho carelessness is almost inexcusable.—lam, &c, Presbyter.
