A traveller on tho Continont visiting a eclobratad cathedral, was shown by the sacristan, among other marvels, a dirty opaque phial. Alter eyeing it some time, tho traveller said, "Bo you call this a ti" <•■*•" eaid the sacristan, indignantly, it contains somo of tho darkness that was spread over the land of Egypt."
